What to expect from coaching

Neurodivergent brains thrive on clarity. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Coaching is a series of structured conversations that create change.

You know you best, and my role as your coach is to support you to gain insights that enable you to identify what you would like to be different, and how you might make that happen, and make it stick. We will discuss what you want to work on and how you prefer to work during the Exploratory Call, and use this to develop a plan for our sessions together.

My aim for our sessions is to support you to identify your own unique strengths as well as your needs.

Being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world brings many challenges, but we also have many strengths. We often don’t see what we’re good at and how we can use these strengths to build a toolkit to support ourselves to live and work well.

If you think coaching might be for you, the first step is for us to arrange an ‘Exploratory Call’.

This is a chance for you to get to know me and my approach to coaching, and for me to get to know you and understand a bit about what you want from a coaching relationship. If we both think/ feel the coaching relationship is a good fit and you’d like to go ahead, we can also discuss next steps. There is no fee for the session, and no obligation to book further sessions with me.

If you would like more information before booking in, contact me for a copy of my coaching profile, my fees, and a Calendly link to book an exploratory call, if you decide you would like to.

My standard charge for self-funding individuals and Access to Work coachees is £140 per hour.

I also offer a limited number of places on a sliding scale, based on income, to try and make coaching affordable for as many people as possible. The minimum fee is £60.00. I have a waiting list if I’m currently at capacity. If you think this might apply to you, please get in touch for more information.

Fees for organisational/ corporate coaching and training packages available on request.

I am multiply neurodivergent with co-occurring health conditions. My lived experience is underpinned by a Postgraduate Certificate in Autism (Sheffield Hallam University) and a Specialist ADHD Coach Certificate (GoldMind Academy).

I have been coaching since 2013. I have Level 7 qualifications in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, and Coaching for Organisational Performance, and am engaged in regular professional Coach Supervision.

What others say about working with me

I’d like to thank you for helping me to understand myself, my autism, my ADHD, my workplace and many other things better. Living and working in a world designed by and for neurotypical people can be exhausting and it has been invaluable to carve out a space to reflect on the challenges and explore ways of being and protecting myself. I have felt respected and understood and so often I don’t feel these things. I’ll always remember that I felt seen, heard, understood, and supported in our time together.

Michaela , SEND Specialist, London
Rachel is my ADHD-whisperer. Coaching with her has been the best decision I’ve made since late-life diagnosis upended my world. She is skilful and compassionate, combining lived experience with professional expertise. It is because of Rachel’s empathy, wisdom, support, and well-pitched challenge, that I have had significant insights. More importantly, I‘ve found the courage to undo some life-long, debilitating coping/ masking patterns, and instead experiment with different ways of being and doing. I’m feeling more easeful and authentic, less stressed, and I’m re-writing my dysfunctional operating manual: to work with – rather than fight against – my neurodivergent brain.
Sarah, Coaching Psychologist and Supervisor
I’ve been working with Rachel for nearly two years now. She managed to create trust from our first conversation, and it’s been growing ever since, leading to deeply personal and meaningful sessions. Rachel has the rare blend of genuine listening skills and ability to ask deep questions. With my AuDHD, Rachel never knows what to expect from me on the day, but she’s always adapted her style, tone and content to my mood and needs at the time, so I ALWAYS benefit from our time together.
Nic B., Data specialist
Rachel Westerbeek is a fantastic coach for late-discovered autistic/ND women – I can’t thank her enough for making me feel seen and valuable and reminding me that I’m not broken and can keep bringing my unique mix of skills to any table.
Claire, Freelance Copy Writer, Devon
I have genuinely found the sessions really helpful. I can see how coaching has impacted on not just my ability to perform better, but also on me personally. Key to that has been the fact that we have had a good and open relationship … I felt able to be open and honest, always feeling that what I had to say would be valued, treated with respect and confidentially.
JB, Senior Leader, Higher Education

Rachel coaches with a wonderful presence that provides time and space to do great thinking. She’s curious and inquisitive in helpful measures, and I completely trusted her to help me to solve some tricky challenges that I was working through.

SG, Leadership Consultant
I wanted to thank you for your coaching and support which has been unquantifiable. You have helped me see myself and helped me gain more self-confidence.
Mark, Small Business Owner, Lancashire

You completely changed my career trajectory with these coaching sessions, and I’m so very grateful for that – the power of an exceptional coach!
